Eddi Danusaputro: Partner, Singapore & Indonesia
Eddi is Co-Founder and Partner at Makara Capital with more than 20 years working experience, with major part of that time spent serving at financial institutions. Eddi further advises on strategic initiatives pertaining to Makara Capital’s growth, having helped set up various business units and entities. He carries a vast experience relevant to Asian businesses in the fields of finance, business operations, risk management and consultancy services.
Eddi is CEO of Mandiri Capital Indonesia, the venture capital arm of the country’s largest state-owned banks in terms of assets, Bank Mandiri, with a focus on fintech.
Eddi’s previous work experience included positions in both Private Wealth Management and International Private Client Groups at Morgan Stanley. In addition, Eddi was Head of Strategy and Planning at AXA Indonesia, where he assisted in setting up AXA Mandiri (a joint-venture between AXA and Bank Mandiri). AXA Mandiri is a pioneer in the market and also became the market leader in bancassurance.
Eddi has worked with Bank Negara Indonesia as a Consultant to their Consumer Banking, Wealth Management and Small Business Banking Groups. He also worked as an Associate Consultant at A.T. Kearney, where he was responsible for providing strategic solutions to Fortune 500 companies. Before obtaining a Masters in Business Administration, Eddi spent four years at Procter & Gamble in the marketing and sales division of the company.
Eddi has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universitas Gadjah Mada and a Masters in Business Administration from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
